These leashes are made of vegetable-tanned leather, far more durable than nylon and rope leashes, and made to soften and darken over time.
They are perfect length to keep your pup close on walks and teaching basic skills during training sessions!
Maintenance: As with all leather gear, tack, and goodies, it is important to keep it hydrated, just like our own skin! To oil this leash, make sure it is clean and free of dirt, which can be wiped gently away with a soft cloth dampened with warm water. It is important not to use synthetic oils like Neatsfoot Compound, and to instead use 100% Pure Neatsfoot Oil, or Obenauf’s Leather Oil. DO NOT use olive oil or any type of cooking oil on your leather, as they can go rancid and ruin the leather.
